JNS is the official publication of the Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties. The Scientific Society of Arab Nursing Faculties was established October 1998. The society works under the umbrella of the Union General of Arab Universities and is hosted by the Faculty of Nursing at Alzaytoonah University Amman/Jordan. Currently, the society has 98 members from various colleges of nursing in the Arab countries that are active members and participate in all activities.

The society has three main committees: The Scientific Research and Development committee, Education and Student Training Committee and the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Committee. The society relies on efforts and contributions of faculty members from various nursing schools to achieve its goal and objectives which are to strengthen the collaboration between nursing faculties. The society offers 2 awards of excellence for academic institutions and individuals of outstanding academic records.
